Sailing

Second Wind Sailing is an RYA recognised sailing school in Scotland.

They are based in Troon Yacht Haven, Troon, in South Ayrshire and run RYA training courses, usually with a maximum of 4 students on board. They also offer day sailing, and Skippered Charter throughout the Clyde and Western Isles for up to 6 people. All Inclusive Sailing Courses means that there are no hidden extras. No kitty for mooring fees, no paying for diesel or counting engine hours. No extra cash to borrow wet weather gear.

Their boat is coded to the rigorous safety specifications demanded by the MCA, and in many areas our safety features exceed those expected. They offer expertly created meals using only fresh produce and your evening meals are accompanied by a bottle of wine.

They also offer skippered family charters, with the kids having their own bunk cabin close to mum and dad. They have their own log books - prepared in house with room for pictures, and containing activities to keep young sailors amused.

Sailing in the Clyde and off the West Coast of Scotland can be challenging, demanding, exciting and great fun. Let them show you the beauty that is all around us in the Clyde. The Isle of Arran is well worth a visit. With its Castle at Brodick, it has wonderful gardens to explore. Bring walking boots and master the 874m to the top of Goat Fell. If that's too strenuous, visit the chocolate factory, the cheese shop or the brewery.

The choice is yours when you visit this wonderful island on a sailing course, day sail or skippered charter.

Other destinations for your course or charter here on the West Coast of Scotland are Tarbert, Loch Fyne; Millport on Great Cumbrae; as well as the plentiful unspoilt anchorages.

Second Wind Sailing offers sailing courses from RYA Start Yachting up to RYA Yachtmaster preparation.
